"We four Beatles of Liverpool are,
John in a taxi,
Paul in a car,
George on a scooter, blowing his hooter,
Followed by Ringo Starr"
Schoolyard song, first popular Christmas 1963...to the tune of ‘We Three Kings’
Strange as it may seem, the Beatles never released a single aimed specifically at the Christmas market, although they did hold the Number One spot in the UK in 1963,1964, 1965 and 1967 and they had the number two spot in 1967 and 1995.
However activity was at a peak in the Festive Season, with the legendary Christmas shows at the Finsbury Park Astoria, TV appearances, Magical Mystery Tour and of course the Christmas Fan Club flexi discs.
As solo artists they really got into the Yuletide season with Happy Xmas, Wonderful Christmas Time, Ding Dong and of course Ringos album, I Wanna Be Santa Claus...although the singles made respectable chart entries none of them reached the top of the charts...but both John and Paul did have Christmas Number Ones, Paul happily in 1977 with Mull of Kintyre and John sadly in 1980 with Starting Over, all of which are celebrated here.
We have also managed to track down a number of "rarities" for this release including George with Delaney and Bonnie,John's "supergroup at the Lyceum (both from 1969) some fan club disc out takes and 3 exclusive mixes.
So here it is, our very first NMR fan club release...share it freely...and remember NMR albums are compiled by fans, for fans and are NEVER for sale.

It came upon a Midnight clear,
That Moonlight Man was full of beer.
And so he thought he'd turn his hand,
To spreading joy in Macca land.
So here it is my gift to you
With lots of help from you know who.
The artwork I could not have done
But "someone " makes it seem like fun
A Christmas Gift from three Wise Men
To play and play and play again
Seasonal discs, numbers one and two
With Christmas Cheer for all of you.
